Welcome Welcome to the University of Cincinnati! We are
glad you have decided to pursue your educational objectives with us. Our
International Student Pick-Up System has been developed to make your transition
to UC and Cincinnati as smooth and hassle free as possible. The University has
committed dedicated temporary housing for you upon arrival and has a committed
group of volunteers who will make sure you are met at the airport and brought to
campus.
The University of Cincinnati is a large and exciting
international community. During 2008-2009, 2,151 students from 100 different
countries were on campus. You should know that international students who chose
UC have a very high rate of satisfaction with their choice. In the latest
International Student Barometer (ISB) survey, a global benchmarking study of
international student satisfaction, UC has consistently been ranked at the top
of the scale in overall student satisfaction against a world-wide benchmark. We
are a top destination university and our student pick up system is just one of
the reasons why.
Our pick up services will be available uptil January 3,2010 for winter quarter arrivals. It is important that you make arrangements to arrive in
Cincinnati during our scheduled service dates. Temporary housing will only be
available. Students who want to request temporary housing and/or airport pickup
should complete the “How to Request Airport Pickup” and “How to Request
Temporary Housing” links.
All new students need to register for a “Check-in”.
During the check-in we will collect copies of your passport, visa, I-94 card,
and I-20/DS-2019. You will also be scheduled for the mandatory health screening;
departmental orientations, etc. To register your check-in click on the “How to
request a new student check-in date” link.
Winter quarter check in will be held on December 30, 2009 at 8:30 am in 220 Sander Hall. It starts at 8:30 a.m. and
will be over at 12:00 noon.
