Introducing iStart/iOffice: a new and easy online service to process requests and forms.

iStart/iOffice can be accessed by international students, scholars, and staff to track current information, update records, and most importantly, request and submit important forms, using e-forms. Visa forms, petitions requested by students or departments, are easily submitted through this service. Both services require using your UC Central Login to setup an access account. once approved, using e-forms is reliable, secure, and fast. These tutorials have been created to help you learn how to use iOffice and e-forms:

Cultural Events and Programming

Orientation for Students: Fall Quarter Orientation will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2009 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., at the Tangeman University Center. Attendance is mandatory for F-1 and J-1 students who have arrived for Fall Quarter, 2009. J-1 students who will be enrolled for classes are also required to attend.

J-1 Exchange Visitor Orientation

Mandatory OPT Seminar

All J-1 Exchange Visitors are required by Federal Law to receive an Orientation after their arrival. Orientations are held on the last Thursday of each month from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. (except for November and December).
The orientation schedule for 2009 is as follows:

Nov 25	Feb 25	May 27	Aug 26
Dec 30	Mar 25	Jun 24	Sept 30
Jan 28	Apr 29	Jul 29	Oct 28

All students must attend an Optional Practical Training (OPT) Seminar prior to applying for OPT through the UC International Services.

Please bring your Passport, I-94 card, VISA, and all I-20's that have been issued to you.

Year round seminars are as follows:
Tuesdays: 1:30 p.m., 3134 Edwards Center One
Fridays: 3:00 p.m., 3134 Edwards Center One
